FEB 16, 2009 - Astrodienst is currently the best answer extant for the mobile astrologer who'd like to calculate astrological charts on an iPhone. It's far from a perfect answer, but it's serviceable. I know, because I've done it. You go to Astrodienst, select "Chart drawing, Ascendant" under the "Horoscope Chart Drawings" heading, select the "click here to go to the chart data entry page" under the "For guest users" heading, and then just enter the data: name, time, date and place of course. You get an accurate chart in seconds. Remember, this is "cloud computing", so it's not as fast as it could be if you were using calculation software installed right on the iPhone itself. But it works, and it's accurate. For now, it'll have to do, because the only options you'll find at the App Store are a bunch of cheesy "Sun Sign" stuff. Sigh.
