Indeed he was, at least as far as the English language is concerned; but he was an astrologer too. And his book A Vision lays out his conception of astrology, a mystical revelation about the nature of being and time. Some may feel that astrology is too narrow a term to capture Yeats' Vision. But that is arguably a denigration of astrology, as anyone familiar with the history of the subject knows full well. Yeats changed the world in many ways, altered the course of history. His vision of astrology might just change your world.
