DEC 23, 2002 - Don Jacobs Memorial is a timely tribute this holiday season. Jacobs (aka "Moby Dick") was a minister, an astrologer, a writer, a teacher and so much more. His historical novel Joshua combined all these interests and experiences to illuminate and elucidate the life of Jesus of Nazareth. The Reverend Jacobs is long gone now, having shuffled off this mortal coil over twenty years ago. But I still think of him every Christmas, in connection with the celebration of Jesus' birth. Of course, everyone who has investigated the matter knows full well that Jesus wasn't born on December 25.
