WOW!SEP 13, 1999 - Sabian Assembly deserves pride of place in your bookmarks if you share the widespread fascination amongst astrologers with the Sabian Symbols. And if you don't know the first thing about Sabian Symbols, this is a great place to get up to speed on this legendary oracle. The Sabian Assembly far predates the World Wide Web, tracing its roots back to 1923. That's when Marc Edmund Jones met Elsie Wheeler. Two years later, the Sabian Symbols sprang to life in the space of a single day in San Diego's Balboa Park, through the collaboration of Jones and Wheeler. (For details, see Origin and History of the Sabian Symbols.) A marriage of archetypal imagery and zodiacal degrees, the Symbols have since become a widely used astrological oracle. You can try the oracle for yourself at Sabian Assembly, although all you get is the zodiacal degree along with a few words describing the corresponding symbol. However there's plenty more to guide your in-depth study of this most fascinating byway on the astrological path.

Technical note: Web Site Garage rates Sabian Assembly fair over-all, poor in load time (57.71 seconds with a 28.8k modem). In comparison, the page you're now reading rates good in both categories, with a load time of 11.27 seconds at 28.8k.
