JUL 3, 2000 - Planet Waves is contemporary astrology - very contemporary, so contemporary it features "Un Signs" instead of "Sun Signs" While that is not the only reason I chose to feature Planet Waves this week, there's something irresistably charming about any astrologer who, like Eric Francis, has the wisdom to dispense with such crap and the sense of humor to do it in style. Take your July horoscope for example - and be sure to read it top to bottom, starting with Aries. You'll see what I mean. And then check out the contents page, for a menage of cosmic consciousness-raising which occasionally borders on and as often transcends astrology. Heresy? Hah! Transcendence is the aim of everything . . . and it's weird by definition. Grunge astrology? Maybe.
