OCT 28, 1996 - the National Institute for Discovery Science is a newly formed, privately funded research organization which focuses on scientific exploration that emphasizes emerging, novel, and sometimes unconventional observations and theories - specifically issues related to evidence for survival of consciousness beyond death and aerial phenomenology (e.g. UFOs) and related topics. Their website is well designed (loads fast, looks good) and already stocked with some fascinating material, including an article on "Loss of Consciousness and Near-Death Experiences" by James E. Whinnery, Ph.D., M.D.

So what's this have to do with astrology? The cosmic craft is constantly re-emerging, ancient yet novel, and from the perspective of the prevailing scientific paradigm, certainly unconventional.
